Coastal and Seascape Photography with Nikon Z 8 | Z 14-30mm F4 S | Bali Landscape Photography
I'm back in Bali again, this time for some coastal and seascape photography. As usual I'm armed with the venerable Nikon Z 8 and the Z 14-30mm F4 S. Recording this is a bit of a challenge as I wade out to the sea where the salt water reaches my waist, all while I'm juggling photography, recording for YouTube on my Osmo Pocket 3 and Dji Air 3 simultaneously. This sunrise was recorded at Sanur Beach.

The other challenge I had was that the boat was constantly moving, so I had to keep my exposure times short.

At sunset, I head to Mengening Beach to photograph the sunset with some rock formations close to shore. I also analyse different compositions that I photographed to explain why certain framing angles work and why it doesn't work.

One of the most important landscape photography composition element to me is having a good foreground element to anchor the viewer’s eye. A good foreground subject in front of the image gives depth to the composition, and encourages the viewer to visually explore the image further. However, a common mistake is just to include a foreground element for the sake of itself, and using an uninteresting subject for the foreground element.
